A friend from my forum posted a picture of herself, and I thought it was great - her hat and hair were just awesome - so I decided to draw it. And then the drawing was just too much fun not to colour, so I did!

Anyhow, the tweed was fun to do and I'm quite happy with how it came out.

I need to work on making my borders more interesting though. Add some swirlies and what not rather than just straight lines.

Also: the lines are supposed to be a little blurry... it just looked better. Trust me.

The way you draw is beautiful :) I love your Earthsong comic too. I've been reading that one for a while now :) Your art has improved greatly! Looking forward to seeing more of it. BTW you did a great job on volume one and I'm praying that volume 2 will be published. Maybe if you tried a different company or something? Anyways, The shading on her hair is awesome and I love how you suggest a shirt without showing it :) Her eyes are very expressive as well. I kinda like the blurriness and the shading overall is great! Hope to see more of your work :rose:

In general, I'm always impressed with the textured colors you add in -- the tweed is great, but I love the hair... :D

Nothing wrong with your borders. Your art stands well enough by itself anyway.

And I just want to say that I hope I can still find the time to draw when I'm a new mom. I have a feeling I'm not going to be as patient as you are. I don't know how you do it. XD
